Hello, my name is "Python" Ron Mcgee. I can't remember the last time I wasn't referred to as "Python Ron"? It would have had to have been some time ago.

I was born in 1959 and grew up in Southern Cal, as most people in LA call it, and spent most of my childhood there. But later, around 19 years old, I found Modesto, and soon made this town my home.

I've been interested in snakes and lizards since I was six years old. I have always been fascinated by the way snakes move about. The way they act when not aware that they are being observed. The texture of their skin to the variations in their colors and patterns.

It was about the time that I began catching Blue Belly Lizards, or shortly after, that I received a special gift, a Horny Toad, from a little seven year old classmate. I was so grateful to her.

Since then, I've owned snakes as large as twenty-two feet long. My largest snake in my current collection is an 18 foot Reticulated Python. My Anacondas have the potential to grow over 30 feet in length, though they are still far from that today.
